Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 April 2026
TL;DR
You buy PrivMark Pro from Wolfberry AB. You get a personal, perpetual license that works offline forever on the version you purchased, plus all updates released within 12 months of your purchase. Swedish law applies. If something's wrong, email us — we'd rather fix it than argue.
1. Parties
These Terms govern the sale and use of PrivMark Pro (the "Software") between:
- Wolfberry AB, a Swedish limited company, org.nr 559269-4599, VAT SE559269459901 (the "Seller"), and
- the individual or legal entity that purchases a license (the "Customer", "you").

2. The Software
PrivMark is a desktop markdown editor available in two editions:
- PrivMark Standard — free forever. No license required.
- PrivMark Pro — paid license unlocks additional features (local AI writing, premium themes, and others listed on privmark.app).
3. License grant
On payment confirmation we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use PrivMark Pro. The license may be activated on up to three (3) devices you own or primarily use. You may deactivate a device at any time and move the license to another.
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, rent, or distribute the Software or your license key;
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
- Reverse engineer the Software, except where Swedish law expressly permits this despite a contractual restriction;
- Use the Software to develop a competing product.
4. Updates and the perpetual fallback model
Your purchase includes all updates released within 12 months of your purchase date. After this window:
- The Software continues to work indefinitely on the most recent version released within your 12-month window. The app is never disabled.
- You may purchase a renewal to extend the update window by another 12 months from the renewal date.
- Security patches are, where technically feasible, made available to all license holders regardless of update window status.
5. Price and payment
Prices are displayed on the website at purchase time and are stated in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise noted. Payment is processed by our Merchant of Record, which also handles VAT, invoicing, and receipts. The Merchant of Record is identified at checkout.
6. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EEA)
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, Swedish distance-selling law (lag (2005:59) om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler) grants you a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. See the Refund Policy for how to exercise this right.
Business customers (B2B sales) are generally not covered by consumer withdrawal rights; however we may grant refunds at our discretion — see the Refund Policy.
7. Warranty and disclaimer
We warrant that the Software will materially perform the functions described on our website at the time of your purchase. If the Software has a material defect that we cannot fix within a reasonable time, your remedy is a refund of the purchase price. Swedish consumer sales law applies in addition where you are a consumer.
Except as stated above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free or meet your specific requirements.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Software is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. These limitations do not apply to liability for gross negligence, intent, personal injury, or mandatory rights under Swedish consumer law.
9. Intellectual property
The Software, its source code, UI, documentation, and all associated intellectual property are and remain the property of Wolfberry AB or its licensors. These Terms grant you a license, not ownership.
10. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Software at any time. We may terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms and fail to cure the breach within 14 days after we notify you. On termination, you must uninstall the Software. Refunds on termination are governed by the Refund Policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, product features, or business practices. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where they affect existing customers, communicated by email. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase unless you accept a later version.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved by the Swedish courts. Consumers retain the protections of mandatory consumer law in their country of residence.
Consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
